Thanks sid. Sharing my first hand experience with human inputs section of google map. A few years back, in my area, google map used to show a tiny road as motor-road however in reality it was a not. This used to create lot of inconvenience to food or grocery delivery service provider. I reported the issue via app and after 7 days, I stopped seeing it on Uber, Swiggy (3rd party map users).
Google Map must be getting thousands of request but importantly they track and act on it.
I am guessing there could be multiple reasons google maps corrected it. It could be your report. Or it could be multiple people reporting it. Or it could be purely based on data that showed bikes/drivers either slowing down or being unable to use the specific road. Or it could be a combination of the above.
